What this site is

OpenPrograms provides research information about residency programs, compiled from open data sources. It's offered free, for general information, to help people research programs. Using the site means you accept these terms.

No guarantees

• The data is compiled automatically and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, including how people and institutions are matched to publications. It's provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.
• Metrics describe research output only. They aren't a ranking of program quality and aren't advice about where to apply, rank, or train. Confirm anything that matters with the program itself.
• OpenPrograms isn't affiliated with or endorsed by ACGME, AAMC, NRMP, CMS, OpenAlex, or any program or institution. Program and institution names are used only to identify them.

Using the data

You may view, cite, and share what's on the site for personal, educational, and research purposes, with a link back to OpenPrograms. Automated bulk copying of the site, or reselling its compiled data, isn't permitted without permission. The underlying sources keep their own terms: OpenAlex data is CC0, and the CMS teaching hospital list is in the public domain.

Corrections

Requests sent through the corrections form are reviewed but not guaranteed to be adopted. Don't submit anything unlawful, abusive, or that you don't have the right to share.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, OpenPrograms and its operators aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its data.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version and its effective date are always on this page.
